How to Get the Most from Your Electric Toothbrush
An electric toothbrush does much of the work for you, but a few habits make your routine even better.
1. Let the brush do the work
Guide the brush head slowly from tooth to tooth. You don't need to press hard or scrub.
2. Brush for two minutes, twice a day
Most people brush for less time than they think. Use the brush's timer or modes to stay on track.
3. Pick the right brush head
Different heads are designed for different needs, such as gum care or extra cleaning. Choose the one that suits you.
4. Replace brush heads regularly
Bristles wear over time. A common recommendation is to replace the head about every three months, or sooner if the bristles look worn.
5. Keep it clean and dry
Rinse the head after use and let it dry so your brush stays fresh. If you have specific dental concerns, ask your dentist for advice.
